I offer one-to-one Mindfulness Coaching to individuals. You may be new to Mindfulness practice or you may want to improve your existing practice.
Counselling offers an opportunity to speak in confidence with a professional therapist about anything that is causing you emotional distress. Life can be daunting and we all have times when we feel anxious, depressed or unable to cope. Counselling offers you the space to make some sense of these feelings and to find a way forward.
You don't have to be in crisis to come to therapy. Often it is used to take stock and to explore what we really want our life to be.
I have helped clients work through issues such as:
Sessions are usually for 50 minutes once a week. In the sessions we talk about the issues that brought you to therapy. This often includes talking about past events and your key relationships. We also may talk about how your past impacts on your present.
A key element to the counselling relationship is trust. This can take time to build but I will endeavour to provide you with a secure, confidential space so you can really feel safe in opening up.
Although sessions with me are confidential, there are times when confidentiality may be broken. For example, if you are at imminent risk of harming yourself or others, or if I am summoned by a court of law. We would discuss this together before any breach of confidentiality wherever possible.
