I offer one-to-one Mindfulness Coaching to individuals. You may be new to Mindfulness practice or you may want to improve your existing practice.
I am an experienced qualified Counsellor and Senior Practitioner in Coaching. I practice from The Cherrycroft Practice in Camberley town centre and also work with clients over Skype. I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy).
My background is in business having run a successful restaurant for many years. A life-long interest in the workings of the human mind and how we face the world led me to begin to re-train as an integrative counsellor back in 2009. Since then I have tended towards an existential approach to therapy giving clients an opportunity to explore their lives in a supportive, honest and compassionate way.
My core belief is that we all perceive the world in a unique way and this determines how we react to the world around us. This perception is influenced by the family we are born into, our enviroment and the experiences we have had since birth. Our sense of self is constantly changing as we continue to experience new things - we are always evolving. The purpose of therapy is to give you the space to make sense of the world you live in and to explore what it is that makes you tick. I will support you in making changes to the perceptions and assumptions that are holding you back from the life you want to live.
I offer a confidential, non-judgmental and safe space to help you in this exploration. You may have had a recent life-changing event or want to explore a trauma from your past, or perhaps you want to take stock and look at options for moving forward with your life. This can be challenging and emotional work but it can also be extremely rewarding, enlightening and transformational. I will not tell you what to do but support you in making the choices that are right for you.
I also believe in the power of Mindfulness meditation. Sometimes we get so lost in our thoughts that we that we forget that life is only really happening now. By using simple breathing techniques we can reconnect with what it means to be alive. I have practiced Mindfulness meditation for over 20 years and can offer coaching to clients as part of therapy if they wish. Click here to find out more.
